I owe Honda Financing around $10k, however my car is worth about $14k. When my brother sold his car for a profit the buyer sent a check directly to the bank and the bank sent my brother the difference, however that was a private bank. Will Honda do the same thing if I have the person write a check to Honda or should I approach this in a different way? Has anyone had this experience with Honda Financing? Just to let you know: using a cash advance or something to pay off the car is not an option because of the risks that can occur if I do not sell it. I currently have a 2.9% interest rate on the loan so I do not want to take out a personal loan that could result in more money just to have the title in my hand. It%26#039;s not worth the risks to me. Thanks for your input!
I want to sell my car. I owe Honda $10k, car worth 14k- how do I sell w/out title and still get xtra cash?credit score
All you need to do is call Honda Finance and tell them you are interested in selling the car. They can tell you step by step what to do. By calling them, you will get the correct information rather than bad guesses or opinions.

You can%26#039;t sell the car to an individual without the Title. This means you must go to your Secretary of State%26#039;s office and obtain the current title or since Honda holds title until you pay off the car sell the car back to Honda. Honda will give you the differance between what you owe (10K) and what the car is worth (14 K). This means you will receive a check for approximately 4k.
This pays off the car, gets you a nice amount of money and removes the car as a debit on your credit rating.|||Wait, the bold font says you want to sell without the title? Where%26#039;d you steal this car from?
