I am writing this because my family and I have become victims of foreclosure. I feel that we were not given all of the options that were suppose to be given. We were shrugged off every time we tried to call and we were only given two options- pay off the entire amount all at once or make two monthly payments. The bank technically still owns the house. We only have a short time to find a way to keep our house. We can afford the mortgage now but the bank says the only way to do this is to have someone buy the house for us. I am praying that there is some way to help us. Like I said, we can afford the mortgage payment but when the rate adjusted in addition to the added amount of the back owed amount, we could not handle it. Please help us save our house!!
I have a loving husband of 9 years and 2 beautiful children. We unfortunately have become a statistic in this sub prime disaster. When we first bought our house, we were with a company that was a little more foregiving than the one we were with now. A little over a year ago, we went to refiance and the broker told us that he had us approved and that there were a couple of things to take care of but not to worry, we would close within 2 weeks. Well, the two weeks came and went, but we were reassured not to worry. At the same time we had costly things around the house that needed repair, so that is what we did with our mortgage payment that month because we were refinancing anyways. Well, the expenses added up and now three months had gone by. Meanwhile we were told still not to worry- he was going to be away for a week and as soon as he got back we would wrap this up. Well, I did not hear from him, so I called to find out that he no longer worked there and that there was never any file started for us. So at this point, we went on a payment arrangement with the mortgage company. Our mortgage adjusted and got to a point that we could not afford that payment. I tried calling the representative handling our case. I left her message after message and never received a call back. Finally I was able to find out who was assigned to our case. He basically gave us no option that they did all that they could. So we hired a foreclosure company that was speaking to Chase on our behalf. He told us that if we can get approved for refinace we would get our house back. So that is what we did, we are approved for a refiance and then found out that he never contacted Chase on our behalf. Chase refuses to let us refiance because the house is in the banks name. We only have a week before being evicted. PLEASE HELP US!!!

i hate to say it, but i think you have been scammed. you should have only done business with the first co/person. and if someone is giving you the runaround, than that should have given you the heads up. if there is no proof of what this person has claimed to do, than i%26#039;m afraid you really don%26#039;t have many options. maybe try a real estate attorney or something. lincon land of assistance has a website and it has a great deal of information that may help. just google them. if you did pay out any money to this person, than you may be able to sue. but again, with the real estate market being as it is, homes will be repo. as fast and cheap as they%26#039;re selling. good luck!

I checked HUD%26#039;S website it is full of tips, it also has a list of HUD approved foreclosure counselors.|||Unfortunately it appears that you%26#039;ve reached out a bit too late in the game.
I can%26#039;t tell you how many people I reach out to to offer my services as a loss mitigation consultant and get ignored.
Most people bury their heads in the sand and when it%26#039;s too late, they%26#039;re ready to talk.
Regardless as to what happened, now all I can say is stick together and put it past now.
For all of you out there reading this posting... see, when we call you, call us back.
We can prevent this from happening even when you feel that %26quot;the bank will not help%26quot;, they always talk to us...|||My question is why didn%26#039;t the 1st company start over with you, 2nd if the 2nd guy was a foreclosure specialist getting you refinanced then they had to get your pay off info or at least should have been obligated to. Unfortunately, it seems there are way to many loose ends in this question and at this point most mortgages are going head over heels to keep from foreclosing maybe you should contact an attorney. We bought a house at foreclosure in which the previous owners hired an attorney and it did delay their move out but thats about it
