Closing an unused loan account?

my wife has subscribed for a loan from Bank of America for $7500 but she has not activated this loan becasue of the high rate interst (Aprox %19) but she noticed that this loan accout excists in the monthly bank statment(she has not activated this loan account ) and hte balance is 0 and it is mentioned in her credit report too , that is from one yesr ago . the question is if this loan amount can effect in negative or positive my wife credit reoport becasue if it effect negatively she will call the bank to remove this account from her bank statment and the same thing with the credit bureau ??? so what do you think? thanks
